He lost shared custody of his son Halo to his ex-girlfriend Halle Bailey after she said he abused her physically and verbally.
Court records show that Bailey has been given temporary full custody of their one-year-old child after the actor and singer said DDG was violent toward her.
Bailey will have full legal and physical custody of the child until June 4, when a meeting is set to decide what will happen next.
Also, DDG can’t be more than 100 yards away from Bailey or Halo until a judge says otherwise.
Bailey has also asked that DDG not be allowed to see his son, but only once a week with supervision.
Even more, Bailey asked the court to stop DDG from taking Halo out of the state of Los Angeles.
The star of “The Little Mermaid” has also asked the judge to make it illegal for DDG to travel with Halo without her permission and to get their son passports and other important papers.
In case DDG has to travel with Halo, she has asked to be given a copy of his travel plans and an extra ticket in case her son doesn’t come back when they said they would.
As part of her filing, Bailey talked about several times she said her ex-boyfriend abused her.
Bailey said in court papers, “During our relationship. To this day, Daryl has been and still is abusing me physically, mentally, emotionally, and financially. I need orders to protect myself and our son Halo from the abuse he is still giving me.
Bailey said that there have been several incidents of physical abuse since they broke up last year.
When Bailey tried to buckle their baby into the car seat in January, she said DDG hit her. “The next thing I knew, things got physical between us,” she said. We fought by wrestling and butting heads. Someone pulled my hair at one point. Then he hit me in the face with the steering wheel, which broke a tooth. I quit fighting back because I was hurt too much.
Bailey’s paperwork also had pictures of what she says are bruises she got from DDG.
Additionally, Bailey claimed in March that DDG yelled at her when she wouldn’t send their sick son to him.
She says that he then broke her Ring doorbell when he realized it was recording the argument. Bailey then called the police to report what happened.
